The University of Tennessee Chattanooga is a campus of the University of Tennessee and was founded in 1886. It is a prestigious and successful university that is best known for it’s excellence in the areas of business, engineering, nursing, English, chemistry, accounting, psychology and education.

The university offers a choice of 43 undergraduate majors and 39 minors. There are also 21 different postgraduate programs on offer including one of the best master’s programs in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

The men’s basketball team is one of the most successful and has been the top team in the Southern Conference since they first joined in 1977. The team has recently been ranked the 48th most prestigious basketball team in the country by ESPN. They are also successful in the area of wrestling, and the university is home to the only NCAA Division 1 wrestling programs in Tennessee.

The university offers a huge range of activities and events throughout the academic year, ensuring that students are always kept entertained and busy outside of usual study hours. As well as numerous sports teams that you can join, the university also offers a modern and well-equipped fitness center that is open to all students. They also arrange a whole range of activities such as outdoor trips to go canoeing, canyoning, mountain biking and more. They have different activities every week and these are open to all students of any ability. There are also events held throughout the year ranging from rock concerts to famous guest speakers and more.

The University of Tennessee Chattanooga also has a large and impressive art gallery - the George Ayers Cress. It showcases a range of art from across the world ranging from sculptures to paintings and everything in between.

The university offers a huge range of clubs and organizations that students can join. They cover almost every imaginable interest such as sports, politics, and art clubs. If there isn’t a club that appeals to you, you can start up your own!

The university offers a great range of housing options for students wishing to live on campus and be at the heart of college life. There are over 8 different apartment-style residences to choose from, some of which are female-only whilst the others are co-ed.

Admission into the University of Tennessee Chattanooga is very competitive, particularly to their top degree programs. A good GPA score as well as being able to demonstrate your ability to succeed at university will help your application.

The campus covers an area of 83 acres and is pretty and modern with beautifully landscaped gardens as well as nice outdoor seating areas that are popular in the summer months. There are many historic buildings that add to the charm of the university. The university library is very large and comprehensive with over 2 million items housed there.

The university can boast several famous alumni including Barry Moser, Johnny Taylor, and Leslie Jordan.
